Silkscreen in Guanlan

I did a silkscreen (along with three etchings) during a residency in 2023 at the Guanlan International Printmaking Base in Guanlan, China. Prior to that I did a couple silkscreens in 1974 or 75 as a graduate student. But that was my only experience with the medium and the medium changed so much in almost 50 years! In working on this print, Afterthought, I depended greatly on two technicians. They didn’t have English names, but went by Miya and Tiger. They deserve a lot of credit for this print. The idea and design were based on a collagraph I had done earlier in 2023 in my own studio.
